Wreetu Comic Book – (Chakma)

Description

To inspire the young Chakma communities children to learn about puberty and menstruation, we translated Wreetu Comic Book into Chakma which provides necessary knowledge and healthy menstrual management information, nutrition, exercises etc. with introduction to Chakma alphabets, romanized pronunciation etc.

Chakma language was chosen because the largest indigenous group in Bangladesh is Chakma. In the near future we hope to translate this book in all other indigenous languages spoken in Bangladesh.

We have educated 500 Chakma adolescent girls in 7 schools in Rangamati and Khagrachari.
